Just random events

Random pictures so here we go.
Linlee had literary character day at school. We had limited costume options so we chose Tinker Bell

Just a cute shot of Sidney while playing outside one morning.

My parents came up one weekend so that Ben and I could got the a marriage retreat in Moscow TN. It was GREAT and we really enjoyed getting away if only for a night.

Another silly Sidney pic.

Ben took a half day and we took the kids to the Botanic Gardens. It was AWESOME!! I wish we had discovered it sooner. The kids had a blast and so did we.

Ben gave Conner and Linlee a hammering lesson. They felt so grown up. It was cute.

Here is a pic of Ben and his dad working on the infamous drainage project. It is finally completed.

Easter Activities

I can never resist the chance to dress the kids alike (at least the girls as long as they will let me).

After a great morning at church, we headed over to the Fish's house for dinner. The kids had a great time playing as always. Mrs. Angie went throught he resurrection eggs with the kids that would sit still and listen.
The dads kept their attention with an Easter bunny movie.
I have never seen that many of the kids sit that still for that long.

House Hunting and Hiking

We spent spring break in Hattiesburg doing a little preliminary house hunting. It was fun looking at all the options out there. We also got to spend some time with Ben's family and even got to go out to dinner with some friends. The kids had a blast as always. They took Grandpa on endless "hikes", discovered the art of bodx sledding and went fishing a few times.

Linlee and Conner both caught fish all by themselves. Ben, Linlee and I came back home at the end of the week and Sidney stayed with Ben's parents while Conner went to Alabama to spend some time with Nana and Papa. The break was much needed and I think we all benefited from a change of scenery. Not to mention my house stayed much cleaner....
Sidney came back grown up for sure. So amazing how much difference a few days can make at that age!!
Conner came back telling us all about the difference in hardwood and softwood. Nanaa and Papa had bought a low up slide which they put in their den for the week. How fun!!

Ben and I took Linlee on a few outings while we had her at home. We went to incredible pizza and I took her out for a girls day with lunch at Crepemaker and a pedicure. She loved being an only child for a while, but missed her siblings after a day or 2.

Getting the house ready

We spent the middle part of February getting the house ready to put on the market. We replaced lighting and put tile in the master bathroom. That was fun!! WE picked the wrong grout color but happily discovered the magic of grout paint. Lots and lots of cleaning out and the house was ready....then the stager came in and rearranged pretty much everything and removed some furniture. I was a bit overwhelmed but after I finished doing all of her suggestions, it looked great. She really knew what she was doing. We have had lots of showings and are just waiting on God's timing.

We also got the pleasure of getting a new roof. All these things we are finally getting around to doing, only to leave it for someone else to enjoy. Why did we wait?? Oh well, we can enjoy for a month or 2.

Snow day with Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa stayed for a few more days after Sidney's party to go to Grandparent's day at Conner's school. Well, it got snowed out!! We had a really good snowfall!

So instead, we took them to our sledding hill and had a blast. They helped build a snowman and entertain the non sledders.

It was GREAT!!! Sidney loved the snow.

Sidney's Birthday Party

We had Sidney's party on Feb 6th (which is another very important birthday too... :)) My girl looked so grown up!

WE harnessed our new found love for watercolors and had a paint-a-thon on the garage wall. It was a little chilly but they had fun.

The Fish and Marlars as well as Ben's parents were all here. Because it was my birthday as well, I picked the cake. Delicious strawberry cake from Miss Muffins. YUM!

Sidney got lots of cute dress up clothes, baby dolls, doll accessories, puzzle, and a robot we named Toby. What a great party!
